Arrived at Bissell about 4:30 pm,and a handful of regulars were working the water, mostly on the right of the ramp. The water was clear, flowing well, and down almost 18" from from Friday. And nice, sunny and warm for a change. The breeze was mild with a few gusts, out of the West.

On my third cast, I got a solid hook set off the end of the ramp, and landed a middlin buck, maybe 3#. By 5:30 pm, I had missed on a nice bump, hooked up to another middlin buck but lost him right at my feet, and C & R a couple of alewives. By 6:pm I managed to get another middlin buck, my last for the night, except for a couple of more alewives.

Things were picking up about then, and others started fighting shad, and a few alewives for good measure. A half dozen or 8 more shad were landed before I left about 7:15 pm.

Terminal tackle: 5/8 oz drail, over 3' Flouro leader, and a hammered silver leaf, red/white w/black dot.

Tight lines!
