I retired and moved down to New Smyrna Beach Florida. After the hiatus I missed this forum but did join some shrimping and fishing forums here.
I tried to go clamming here a while ago but only scored one! It was good but I could use more than one!
I am just off a body of water here called Mosquito Lagoon. (aptly named) The intra coastal waterway goes right through it for about 22 miles.
there are Oysters everywhere but we had a big algae bloom here for several years and the clams took a major hit as did the sea grass.
Anyway I will post reports here on my shell-fishing exploits here in the future.
If you all think it's warm here you are mistaken. We had 29F last night and is also projected for tonight as well. That storm you are all getting now generated here and we have been dealing with rain, cold and wind for the last three days. It finally headed north to harass you guys. Hunker down and stay safe!
