Made my first trip of the season down to the mouth of the CT River last night with Atsakeeper62.
The rain had just moved out and the tide was falling as we launched.
The fishing was decent for 1 34" keeper and several shorts before the sun broke out, then the bite shut off.
We fished several areas before we finally found some fish willing to chew and caught another 32" keeper, a 7 lb blue and some almost keepers.
Fished top waters and large soft plastics the whole trip.

Overall, not great, but still a beautiful night on the water with some nice explosions.
The bite is way off and I think this will be the new normal for the next few years.
