Saltonstall and other deeper lakes would have not been open to fishing now- that part I understand as to why they would not stock here. But why even do this? Its not even like youll have a shot at most of these fish between now and july. Then they belly up.

Couldnt we have invested that cash into ANYTHING else that would pay dividends for the future? bluegills, crappies, any self sustaining fish at all like catfish or perch. Even a baitfish program to increase food for whats in there. Who are these people that make the decisions, and have they ever been to winchester, which is a flooded timberfield with stumps everywhere? the OPPOSITE of lake trout water.
