New single released today. While I agree it's not the same without Anthony, things change and it is what it is I guess. I suppose if you are going to replace your bass player, you could do worse then having your kid follow in your footsteps. I'm not awful crazy for the chorus, but the band sounds pretty tight, Eddie's still got it, and Dave's still got a fetish for dressing like a pimp and waving big flags around. Sounds pretty decent overall I think. Glad to finally hear some new tunes from them, I've been waiting a looooong time for this.

You can say anything foolish to a dog, and that dog will still give you a look that says, "WOW!! What a great idea!! I never would have thought of that!!"

A buddy scored tickets for us to the 2/28 show at MSG. Anyone else going to the MSG shows or Mohegan?

The Mohegan show is the same night as the CTF Game Dinner, so glad to be going to MSG.

The new song certainly isn't anything special, but hoping the live show will not disappoint!

Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi Diagnosed with Lymphoma
By Alison Schwartz
Tuesday January 10, 2012

It was just two months ago that Black Sabbath announced plans to produce another studio album – their first in 33 years.

But in the midst of recording sessions in Los Angeles, the heavy metal foursome had some serious news for fans this week: Guitar legend Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with lymphoma.

The Iron Man is in the "early stages" of the disease, a cancer of the lymphocytes (white blood cells in the immune system), according to a statement on his website, and the band will continue working on the album (still set to be released in the fall) in England to accommodate Iommi.

The rocker, 63, is "upbeat and determined" to make a full recovery as he works with doctors to establish a treatment plan.

"[Iommi's] bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time," the statement continued.

Black Sabbath, including Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, is set to embark on a reunion tour May 18 featuring the original members, and more information will be released about Iommi's health as it becomes available, according to the statement.

Sounds like it was caught pretty early and hopefully he'll have a full recovery.

Ive only heard of European festivals so far for tour dates, but may kick it off to further tours around the globe

Eddie's bloated son looks very out of place in this line up.

It seems whenever I post about Motorhead the subject is passed over. WTF? James Hetfield has bowed to Lemmy onstage (literally) because he is such a bad ass.

LOL. I'll give props to Motorhead.

I saw them once at Toad's Place in the 90s.

Lemmy came out at the start and said, "We're Motorhead and we're going to kick your f'n ass." And they went right into their first song. Great show!
