Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was coming to the mountains to trap and be a mountain man. Acted like they was gut-shot. Says, "son, make your life go here. Here's where the peoples is. Them mountains is for animals and savages." I said, "Mother Gue, the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world." And by God I was right.
Anyone who likes good hardcore jamming should enjoy this. They are not a very commercial band but super -talented and better known on the jazz/fusion side of the world. The band is called tribal tech. Scott Henderson on guitar. The guy is awesome. Check this out:

Just got back from the Queensryche show at the Oakdale. They put on a great show...played both Mindcrime albums in their entirety and acted out the story on stage. Then came back out and closed with Empire and Jet City Woman. The band was tight and Tate's vocals are still good. Can't hear shiz right now...haha.
Went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show at Mohegan this afternoon. The band was fantastic as usual. Anyone that hasn't checked these guys out live should really catch a show. They're coming back around again near Christmas...got some decent pics in between gettin yelled at by the security guy...LOL...here are a few...

Researchers say they've found a clear link between hard rock music and intelligence. The claim came after a study of the musical tastes of 1000 brainy youngsters found they preferred the likes of Ozzy Osbourne to Mozart.
The survey was carried out by a team at the National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth at Warwick University in the UK, And they've even come up with an explanation.
The researchers believe many bright children often feel isolated because of their high IQs - so they tend to seek comfort in loud music. They believe lyrics dealing with alienation and hate can be a form of escape for brain boxes.
