The second guide down from the tip of my All Star baitcasting rod needs to be replaced. The ceramic eye fell out so just the metal eye remains. Any suggestions who can do this for me cost effectively? I am in the HArtford area. Went to Cabela's to see if they have some sort of "repair kit" but I did not see one and to buy the stuff individually seemed expensive.

I needed the same type of service last season and site member RayZ did an awesome job for a very reasonable fee. I would definitely recommend you contact him for your repair

fyi, if somebody is near Milford and needs a quick rod guide fix, i have the tools to do it. No charge for ctfers, just have to get a matching replacement guide.

I can fix your guide. I live in Middletown and have been working in Farmington. Shoot me a PM. I'll get the guide if you haven't and try to match the wrap. I can't do fancy stuff but I can do a nice job....free!

Thanks to Ray Z for making the rod repair I needed. He even repaired the reel seat that was loose and sealed the cork handle. I highly recommend Ray for rod repairs you may have. Thanks again!
