GUYS!

since many of you have not read either the Original bill 207, or the recently posted revisions to it that ZYG has provided, i will spell out the main difference.

the original SB 207 reduces the freshwater fishing license to 24$ (a 20% increase instead of 100%) this is a good thing.

BUT......

in the next line, the original bill also RAISES the saltwater license to 30$ to offset the money. these bastards take a good thing and still try to screw us, and by the way a week or so ago, capitol hill VOTED to include the saltwater line in bill 207. if this is passed, you essentially pay EVEN MORE THAN NOW!!!

24 for fresh, 30 for salt= 54 bux as opposed to 50$ as it is now....

this state is determined to screw you senseless and enough is enough. in lieu of a rally, we need to attend both the CTSportsmans Day, on 3/17, as well as this monday 3/8 hearing to propose the revisions to this bill.

thanks!

Will someone teach me to run my business like the state of CT is run ?

I am tired of being honest and hardworking.I want to be like the state of CT and take as much as possible while giving very little in return.

I ended up buying both licenses today - It doesn't feel right. I was planning on not buying any license this year and going "rebel", but I am trying to stay out of trouble these days..

oh well just made my big purchase... $10 saltwater license was gonna hold out but really didn't want to pay $30. I will only buy a fresh water license this year if it comes down to a reasonable price, but if they justify that with jacking the salt license from $10 to $30 as stated above My family & I will continue our protest of ridiculous fees boycotting ALL state parks and other licenses... I know many people who have said they will be license less this year I have chosen to fish just salt this year get the marine license and display my very large sticker in my avatar proudly thankyou

The state of Connecticut stands to loose a lot of money with this greed look for lots of empty parking lots at state parks this year. This family just went from spending over $100 a year to now just spending $10 mad1

Thats because too many of the politicians are listening to HSUS. https://secure.humanesociety.org/site/Ad...38sy5t2.app303a

If the link above does not work here is the text.

There are several untrue facts here as I am sure I do not need to tell most of you.

Connecticut: Oppose a Reduction in Hunting License Fees
Hunting license fees are needed to help fund law enforcement and crack down on illegal hunting of wildlife. Legislation has been introduced in Connecticut (S.B. 115/S.B. 82 & H.B. 5038/H.B. 5080) that would reduce recent increases in hunting fees.

This legislation would leave the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection strapped for crucial funding. The Department is charged with the important task of protecting Connecticut's wildlife and enforcing hunting regulations, but with incoming license fees slashed, the department’s enforcement abilities will be severely compromised.

TAKE ACTION
Please make a brief, polite phone call to your Connecticut state legislators to urge opposition to S.B. 115/S.B. 82 & H.B. 5038/H.B. 5080. Click here to look up your legislators' names and phone numbers. When you call, remember to leave your name and address so it is clear that you are a constituent.

After you make your calls, fill in and submit the form below to automatically send a follow-up email to your legislators. Your state legislators receive a lot of email, so it is important to personalize the subject line and the text below so that your message will stand out and have a greater impact.

I've recently read an alarming article that goes way beyond Connecticut's money issues. ARTICLE . The day may come when we find ourselves a band of merry men poaching the king's woods.
