First day back to fishing. I deck handed for Eddie Burger in his 36 contender. Left the house at 5:00 am. Hey I am in the deep south. What is this 28 deg. temp? Got to the dock to find ice on the dock and boat. Cold Very Cold!
Did the run down the river at 45mph. Cold Very Cold! Hit the gulf with 15-20 winds and 4-5 seas. Our seas are close and sharp. Wet Very Wet! Got to the same place that produced 15 tuna in a short while 3 days ago. They were there but "LOCKJAW". We managed 3 yellowfin to 45 pounds before the sharks and porposes showed up. We went the opposite way all the other boats went. They all had one each.
A 20 mile run into a head sea made for more wet clothing. We picked away at the blackfin the rest of the day landing only 6 but they were very good sized blackfin 25-30 pounds. We finished the day out getting a limit of amberjack. The ride up the river made me wish for spring soon. Cold Very Cold.

Got back to the dock at 6:00 pm and home at 9:00. Long tough day but ready to go out again tomorrow.
Life is Good!
