Im heading to Islamorada tomorrow am and I have a 5'castnet. I would like to bring it along. My question is does any one have any experience with this? Is it too much. Is the TSA agent going to give me a body cavity search when they see all the lead in my luggage. Maybe I'm worrying too much. Maybe I could get a cheap one while I'm there. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Make sure the net isn't in a bag, mine was in my back pack and they freaked out because all they saw was little weights that they thought were bombs...

Perhaps let them know before you send it thru, I ended up getting on the plane with mine, but they had me in a room for 15 minutes questioning me..... also don't have it rolled up into a ball..

good luck

I would think if it was in a checked bag you'd be fine.

I am a commercial photographer in Ffld County - drop me a line if you would like to get some photos of you day on the water or in the field. I am trying to broaden my portfolio to include lifestyle images of hunters/fisherman in action.
