My son is really taking a liking to coins and even to a lesser degree paper money. Typically I buy some rolls of coins for him at the bank to go through.

If anyone has any coins/paper money they want to sell - please shoot me a PM, it can be any denomination.

Thanks

Pre-1982 pennies are 95% copper
There are 145 Pennies to a pound
A pound of copper is worth approx $2.60

Soooo for a $1.45's worth of pennies you can receive $2.60

As it turns out, you can't melt pennies for scrap. Nickles either.

They passed a law back when they changed the content from copper to an alloy.

Sux, but you can't legally do it.

Is he interested in money from other countries because I have bills and coins from Oman, Sri Lanka and Thailand? I can let you have some of the smaller bills and coins.
