Did some scouting today and found plenty of fishable ice at Bigelow. Most of what we found was 4-5 inches. Gary and I had a bunch of flags and managed 6 pickerel in about 3 hours... It was nice not having to drive for 2 hours to fish!

Wow I realized that it's been a really long time since being out on fishable ice. Great day, great Ice and it's only going to get better. The wind died down and that'll help the open waters set up better. It was 8.5 degrees at my house this nmorning at 6am.
You must have gotten on near the boat launch. There was still a lot of open water along 171 on Friday afternoon. Just a heads up to anyone going there.
I saw you guys out there after my hike around Breakneck. Breakneck had ice on the southern 1/3 and northern 1/3 of the pond. Open water in the middle 1/3. I'm planning to hit the southern 1/3 Monday morning. Anyone interested?
Man has to believe in something....so I believe I'll go ICEfishing!

Nice job guys, congrats on landing a few.
