Hey guys I am going to try to get some Herring in the morning. I hear they are around Bridgeport harbor, or saint Mary's. Anyone got any advise? Its a haul for me to drive down and i want to at least get a few dozen. Thanks

The last time I was in Bridgeport they were all over. I just heard that you can legaly fish with them. I dont know how true this is but Im going to find out

Yes you can fish them, yes it is legal, yes you need an updated 2012 fishing permit. I have not fished for them since 1/1/12 but they were in the marina in Fairfield.
