For those of you that know him Eddie Burger is one heck of a fisherman and has been known to do unusual things. Yesterday I think he hit a new high.

A mako on a jig. This was the only picture of it before the teeth cut through the assist hook. Guestimate weight 25 - 30 pounds.

Ran across a bait ball and managed only 4 blackfin out of it. The customers all had thier own fishing equipment and "SPECIAL" poppers or plugs. Amberjack were not on the catch list as Jack cravele moved in and would not let anything else eat anything. Good action but other than that garbage.

Think this guy's lights went out quickly?

The wahoo were Jumping out of the water like Kings and tuna do. Ended up with 7 hooters 2 scamp and 4 blackfin.

Next reports will be with my brother Jan (JHoop). I am picking him up Wednesday morning at the airport. We are both excited to be able to spend quality time together after many years.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.

They are very good table fare. Don't freeze as well as yellowfin I am told but you can't proove it by me. On a fly rod you would be all day on a 15-20 pounder. They run like the yellows and I think have more power for the same size. If you hit them well you can fill up the boat with them but not with a fly rod.

The hooters are hot as heck this year. 2 over 100 hit the docks last week. Haven't been there yet. 100 plus On my bucket list.
