Picked up my brother today and by the time we got back to Empire we just ran out on the bay boat to make use of the license we just bought.

There were showers all around and that left a slight chill in the air. There was no tide movement so the pickings were almost non existant. My brother Tied on a rapala baby one minus and landed a nice 3 pound sheeps head. A while later I hooked into a redfish on a gold weedless spoon that was about 22 -24 inches and lost it before getting it in. This area had some fish but I was not satisfied so we moved to another area that turned out to be worse.

I was going to run back where we were but it was getting late so we called it. It's a start and a report even though nothing to get excited about. Plans are to head offshore tomorrow. Forecast is for fog but being the middle of the week we may not have a lot of people out on the hooter rigs.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
