Neat. That is certainly worth the $25 admission fee.

Fishing: the art of casting, trolling, jigging, or spinning while freezing, sweating, swatting, or swearing.

Sturgeon are fun, in really cold winters where the Hudson River freezes over you could catch monster sturgeon in some of the deeper coves. But the largest fish caught through the ice are Greenland Sharks. You can enter contests in southern Greenland to fish for them or in sections of the St. Lawrence River that freeze thick enough. Or you can answer a crew call with an Eskimo team.

Of course, if heading into the Artic is too far of a trip just hit a Ct. River cove and fish for Bull Shark. Bull Sharks head up-stream into fresh water with ease and we all are familiar with the Bull Sharks of Minnesota found in the Mississippi drainage, right? If not, take a look.

The Greenland shark trip is on my bucket list.

They use seal meat for bait and take dog sleds to the fishing grounds.

I've been meaning to do that as well Mitch, but I was going to hijack the seals and dogs and eat them, vac pack some for future meals, and open up an on ice seal & dog stand for Breakfast/"Bark"fest, Lunch & Dinner. wink2

Don't set such lofty goals. Start with coming to the Game Dinner.
