Side imaging?

It requires you to use this switch http://www.humminbird.com/Products/AS-ETH-5PXG/ to link to other units per the 798 details on Humminbird's site http://www.humminbird.com/Products/798ci-hd-si-Combo/ but I've never tried linking two head units so I don't know what functionality it gives you.

It is an SI unit, but it can also handle 360 imaging if you have the accessories for it , as well as i-Pilot (Helix 5 SI units cannot use these accessories) and Humminbird's autochart map-making software.

My unit has the most up to date software version installed on it.

Side Imaging/ Down Imaging unit with 2 SD slots compatible with Autochart, iPilot & many other accessories. I used a thru-hull transducer so the transom mount has never been opened/used. Upgraded to an 898. Screen replaced by humminbird prior to the 2016 season, has less than 50 hrs use since replacement. Includes the power cord, base, ram mount, unit, hard protective case & transducer. I will ship at my expense. Software version 6.300 (most recent update available) includes Navionics Countour XD preloaded charts.

I love my slightly more current 798ciHDsi. with TWO!! card slots I use one for Lakemaster chart and the other for recording the complete fishing trip so I can sit back as the snow flies and see every fish and look for things I missed in the 798's spectacular side scanning recordings in the action on my PC using Reefmaster software. How many other units can do this stuff for $350?
