I bumped into a neighbor at a fishing show on Saturday who told me he's opened a business at his home cleaning, repairing, restoring and customizing fishing reels . He also makes custom reel handles. He has customers from CT to CA. His name is Lou Maglione and you can email him at lmaglione@sbcglobal.net. Phone203 284-0322. Name of his business is Stars and Striper's and he's located in Wallingford.

I'll add Dee's Bait Shop in New Haven to the list. I just had 5 reels cleaned and lubed, for $48-total. Very nice guys. They also are a great source for Green Crabs.

The guys at Dee's are great for reel service. Reasonably priced too. They're able to get a lot of discontinued parts. I had a drag knob bounce off an older Penn Slammer and bounce in the water. It was going for over thirty bucks on Ebay. They replaced it for me and served the reel for $15.00
