Are any of these lakes controlled by the DEEP? Isn't there a drawn down sometimes do to power plant needs?

All 3 are operated by First Light & Power.

Lilly and Zoar are usually down for two to three weeks or so starting in early November then back up to normal from there. This year Lilly is scheduled to be down from Nov 6th to the 20th. Zoar is usually drained sooner - so they use the draw down of Lilly to refill it.

Candlewood had been being drawn down for the whole winter as a weed control measure, but with the zebra mussels in the Housatonic refilling the lake is an issue. They would be a real nuisance to the power facilities of Candlewood especially, which do not see constant use.

I will post pics of Candy and Lilly tomorrow after work..

Candy is down about 2 feet. Not sure about lilly. I would not launch at lattins cover on candy any more this year. New Fairfield ramp should be fine.

I see a ton of bass boats on the road coming and going from Squantz launch so I would safely assume the ramp is useable.

Looks like lilli is down 2.5' from where it was at when we were all there last Sunday - pre-storm measures by the looks of it
