Hey i moved here from Maine..... I do miss Maine alot, I lived very close to where FTO has his house,

However, I could never get a job, and live as good as i do here in CT, if I still lived in Maine. There just isn't any work!!! Maybe one day i could retire back to Maine... but for now CT is where it's at... it has the most abundant deer population in New England... OMG the DEEP wants you to shoot does! Great trout fishing and awesome salt water fishing all less than an hour from my home!

Plus I ment my wife in CT.... just saying i had to throw that in.

I miss my Uncle Lewie....However;
I know he's with me on every fishing trip.

Mitch,

I like your editing on my post.(the golfing is for my wife). I do hope to make it to Maine next year - there is no better way to spend a week!

It's where the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ is.........

In Bombings, we blame the Bomber. In Drunk Driving deaths we blame the Driver. In Shootings we Blame the Gun ?? wtf

Part of the child support agreement (which expires in exactly 6 days! Yahooooo!). After that I'm free to live elsewhere. I'm headed south too but I have about 10 more years before I can retire from this job I no longer like (but it pays the bills).

I work to live, not live to work.

My job and potential future jobs keeps me in southwestern CT. My only other choices could be NY and NJ, so far CT looks to be the lesser evil one. I enjoy the geography, the history, the towns, the food and restaurants, proximity to NYC. Of course the fishing. Quick access to my parents/other family up in the Hartford area.

My brother lives in Colorado. Been there a few times and love it. If only I could see job security there.

The cost of living is no doubt high but quality of life and resources is also high IMO.

I have lived in Cali, Utah, Maine and CT. So far CT is the worst of them all. My family is from here but they have all since moved out of state. I am stuck here becuase my wife will not move away from her family. As far as the outdoors, CT ranks last out of the 4 states I lived in. With in 5-7 years I am hoping to move south
