If they just dumped some crushed stone after the ramp to prevent the big drop-off would be an improvement.

The big drop off is from the prop wash while loading boats, the bigger problem is the pile of dirt and rocks that form behind the big hole, that's what your motor hits.
Crushed stone would only add to that pile.
At the Squantz launch when the water gets low you can see the pile of crushed stone and I mean stones that are 5 to 8 inches in diameter.

Propellers have a lot of power and move rocks with ease. You need to put down concrete or asphalt to stop this from happening and the State will not spend the money. Now that the water is back to full pool this will not happen anyway.
