Not hard to do at all, as long as you have an alternative to their internet.

I was bundling Comcast (home phone, cable and internet). No other options so have to keep internet but have basically canceled the other two.

Fire TV and covenant. No need for anything else anymore - you can watch any tv show or movie you want. Or screw firetv and just put Kodi/Covenant on any Windows 10 machine

Got any links or tips on using Kodi/Covenant?

I have Chromecast, and am familiar with things like that and Amazon TV, but haven't looked into stuff beyond that.

Thanks

If you have fireTV or a windows 10 machine you just install Kodi and there are 100s of add-ons you can use to watch any type of show/program you want (movies, tv shows, sports, porn, PPV etc).

Now, the way I understand the law is its illegal to download stuff but not illegal to stream - this is all streaming.

This is the website I use to do it - was very easy and had walkthrough videos etc. I'm a technology idiot but was able to do it in about 10 minutes watching videos.

The best combination at the moment is to use Kodi and Covenant which requires you to download the Ares wizard too.

I had an antenna TV antenna up when i was living in Ansonia. Got 50+ channels with fantastic quality of signal.
For non-live TV i had Roku and the Firestick.
Pretty easy to do, all of it.
Just moved to Monroe and havent had the chance to put up the TV antenna/s so I'm a slave to cable tv. I really liked the selections I had with over the air antenna better than I have with cable channels.
Cheers

We moved to Mount Pleasant, SC outside Charleston about 8 months ago from East Hampton. We have 4 kids that are all out of HS two (twin boys) 19 moved with us and we don't miss a thing about CT. We still own a house in CT and have family so we have been back a few times and can't wait to leave every time. We both work from home and I travel a lot for work so not having to worry about a job made it easy. We sold everything in CT and took hardly anything with us and that was t he best decision makes life so much easier.

The twins are not the "college" type so finding a decent job in CT was tough for them. Down here they have been able to find jobs with out a problem. One is currently interviewing for a maintenance job at The Citadel that would be a state job. They have since moved out on their won and doing honestly much better then I thought they would. They are building down here at record pace lots of companies are moving to this area and there are two major ports (Charleston and mount Pleasant). Boeing moved part the operation of the Dreamliner here from Seattle and BMW, Benz and Volvo all have plants.

Housing in the Mount Pleasant area is more expensive then it was in CT and that is mainly because it is where everyone wants to be. Mt Pleasant is only few miles from Charleston and two beaches and most all the shopping in the area is here and very low crime and some of the best schools in the state. You can go a few miles out to Summerville area and fins new houses for mid 200 or less. Most other things are less expensive ie: food, utilities, BEER, seafood most taxes. We are building a 470K house and our taxes will be about $1200.00 per year that is less then a 1/3 of my house in CT that is worth half as much. The sales tax is about 9% on mostly everything but that offsets cost other things like car registration it was $74.00 and that included a license for 10yrs and new title for first time registration. I have a 2012 BMW 528 and my property tax was $182.00 for a year and you pay tax and reg all in the same place it took 15minutes. You can drive golf carts on roads with a 35mph speed limit so we find our selves saving gas using the cart for a $5.00 permit fee.

I have not fished out here yet but it seems to be very good, we are surrounded by salt marshes and creeks and the shrimp in the summer are everywhere and cheap and no it is oyster and blue crab season. You can have two cast nets and fill a 40qt cooler a day with shrimp without a license/permit. I want to give that a shot next summer. I know a lot of people go for redfish and red drum in the marshes .

All and All it was the best decision we ever made. Plus the weather is not all that bad either.

Jay, don't forget to mention the difference in weather here. Im still wearing short sleeve shirts to work with no jacket. Just being outside of Charlotte, things are a little higher but others balance it out. Just before the oil price increase recently I was paying just over $2 a gallon for gas, for a while we were below $2 a gal. Now if I could only get out and fish more down here. Only been a couple times, starting to find a few places I can go sans boat.

i am not political- i bitch at home but generally keep my opinions to myself.

here is reality-

definition of insanity- doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.

VOTE THE BASTARDS OUT- it is as simple as that. unless we vote them all out- we get what we get
this is true at all levels.
local- state and fed.

i live here because i love new england and my wife's family is here. I no longer have relatives in ct.

we must VOTE THEM OUT. we must vote them out -repeat after me - vote them out.

if we do not- we get and continue to get what we have.

another concept my mother once told me- it is ok to say no to yourself. say no to these fools. vote them out.
