Question can I just buy a salt water license or do I have to buy a freshwater one as well? I know I haven't bought either yet but I mostly go out on head boats and This year I might get out more often maybe lol

You don't need a license to go on a party boat trip, but yes, you can buy just a salt water license if you decide to get one.
It is only when you see a mosquito landing on your testicles, that you realize that there is always a way to solve problems without using violence ...

If for some reason you have an out of state drivers license, then you can get a FREE N.Y. marine license and fish all CT salt waters.
