I had an amazing morning today! I put out a cellular trail camera the other day in a spot that is hunted on either side of me and it's just a 2-acre thicket where they bed. Even though It's muzzleloader season and I can only use archery there, I had to get out there because I got three different shooter bucks on camera in 2 days. I figured that there is a doe in heat, therefore I went out this morning. I had a big body wide 6 come by me at 6:50 a.m. which I shot through the heart and he only made it 20 yards before he fell over. I continued to sit and had a small two-year-old eight-point under me and hang around for an hour, which I passed. Then at 9:30 a couple doe and a skipper came running by being chased by a 4 pointer. Then a larger buck that I thought was the smaller 8 came by . I grunted and when he came closer I realized that he was a 3 year old 9 pointer. I was able to stop him at 28 yard and hit him good too! Amazing, 45 days hunting in CT, many all day hunts and didn't see any decent bucks other than the one shotgun/rifle opener and today seen and was able to harvest two. So no more regular archery buck tags left Will be out with the Muzzleloader till January season.
