That time of year again. A reminder that 4" is the minimum ice-thickness recommended for ice-fishing.

Great reminder. Was out in new haven county this afternoon and found 3” of ice on a small pond. Saw a couple of icefisherman and a handfull of hockey players.
Tad bit thin for me, i was talking with a skater and we had about 400 pounds between us and the ice didn’t crack.
I thought the ice would have been thicker.
I did an about face and headed home.
