If you are married and both are over 65, talk the wife into getting the online free fresh/marine fishing license, was successful last year and she renewed for this year. Will she ever go? Perhaps not, but you never know......She used to fish but stopped decades ago when I said "I do".

At least have her sit in the boat (even if she's just writing a honey do list, or a list on how many ways she hates you) so you can catch 2 limits. laugh

The reason I got for her to get her free senior license is if I do very well in Connecticut in a boat for shad with a guest who catches shad besides myself and does not want the fish, my wife would drive to the boat launch to take legal possession of the guest's shad so the guest does not have to drive back to my house. She eats shad. Also advised her this would legally enable her to assist kids trying to fish at a waterside picnic. This worked for her. Will it be more than this in time? We can only hope, happy just to get my foot in the door of possibilities.

Well this sounds familiar. We are not over 65 but she stopped fishing when she said "I do".
