I will only be here for a couple of months more. The new house in Murrells Inlet, SC is expected to be finished and closed on in early June. My wife and I will be out of CT by July 1. Can't say I will miss the weather and taxes all that much.
if you read ct news junkie - the ONLY site that illustrates what really happens at the capital, you would have to ask yourself that question on a daily basis- IT IS NOT GOING TO GET BETTER GENTS. there is absolutely no movement to saving or cutting expenses- NONE. Taxes on soda, taxes on this , taxes on that. and our personal fav- tolls to drive to work etc. they need to feed that beast they created and you are the food. my own barber who I have been going to for over 40 years told me that if haircuts are taxed- he is done. they do not give a chit - period.
Only because of my job and family. It is the worst state tax wise and extremely liberal. I could find a job managing at another Porsche store but really don't want to be a plane ride away from my family at this point.
CHANGE IS SCARY BUT IT IS REWARDING ON THE OTHER SIDE!
SURELY MISS MY CTF FRIENDS BUT ALWAYS WILL BE HERE TO GIVE ALL A HARD TIME!
Chris you manage and sell Porsches. You don't need to be a plane ride away from family. You can be an 8hr Porsche ride away...which prob puts you in North Carolina.....and South Carolina/Georgia with no traffic.

Was bored and looking at houses in forclosure, pre forclosure and sale in CT holly cow. Talk about a MASS MIGRATION OUT OF CT especially out of fairfield county. Im seeing listing for houses that have dropped in price say a 180,000 house that just dropped 10,000 in price. These are houses that went for 220,000 not long ago. Im also seeing plenty of foreclosures for 130,000 where houses down the street are selling for 185,000. Fairfield county almost solid blood red from all the listings, compared to the rest of the state is pink when you minimize the map. Who's high tailing out of state within the next year and where are you going.
