Not much to report, but it's better than not reporting.
Perfect cloudy, drizzly conditions screamed for a top water bite.
I threw a few different baits, but managed only 1 smallie and had 3 or 4 half hearted rolls and pushes.
Went deep with an alewive colored whale tail grub from our old member Findbass on a 3/8 head and managed 1 schoolie and had another swipe at it at my feet which was a surprise.
Oh...and I have a hole in my waders up around my crotch...that felt fantastic.
Not a great adventure but still fun being out there.
Salvaged the day with a trip to Bears Smokehouse and Problem Solved brewery for some much needed food and hydration.

Worth the trip just for the bar-b-que and beer.

If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.

Glad you got out. You got couple and you had some close enough to keep you interested. You ate well. I will take a day like that anytime.

I want to throw for smallies from my boat in the Windsor area the weekend of June 29th. I will post a notice is the fishing partner forum when it gets closer and I get my timing (Saturday or Sunday down). Hoping you or another site member might join me.

Tight Lines,
