Had the day off because of the rain so decided to take the kids out Turkey hunting.
On the way into the farm we seen a Tom run off.
We setup in a ground blind about 200 yards from where we seen the Tom and called for about 2 hours without hearing or seeing anything. So I went back to the truck and got another ground blind and setup another 200 yards or so to the North and shortly after got a gobble back! I played with him for a while but he just circled us and never really presented a good shot for the crossbow.
We then moved back to the other side of the property and called every few min for about an hour and a half and had two nice Toms and a hen work in and was able to take the largest at 35 yards!
My children Had a great time and my Daughter Lydia had an adrenaline rush, I could see her shaking!
I was amazed they stuck it out for 6 hours never wanted to go back home, Just wanted to keep trying till we got One.

Awesome job! So cool the kids wanted to stay that long. Turkey hunting can get them very excited because of the vocalization of the turkeys.

It also helps that you can hunt later on into the day so the kids don't have to get up at 3 am!

Congrats!
