Hello. I have 10 beehives in my yard. Two years ago my hives were destroyed by a bear three times. Last year I installed an electric fence to stop bears from accessing the hives. I havent had a problem since but I am hearing many reports of bears in the area. There was a small one in the yard two days ago. There seem to be more than one bear in the area because people are reporting and posting pictures of bears that vary in size on social media. I am worried that they may find a way under over or through the electric fence. I was wondering if beanbag shotgun rounds or rubber pellet shotgun rounds are legal in Connecticut and if they were whether I could use them on a bear near my bees in order to scare them away.

Shooting beanbags at a bear? Maybe shoot the cubs and see if you can outrun mamma?
Seriously, I don’t think this is a good idea. Legally or healthwise, and it would likely be ineffective at accomplishing your goal.
