A Few more years, and all traces of native american history, imagery, contributions, culture and legacy of a proud, cool people will have successfully been eliminated by the liberal fringe.

I will remember who called for it and facilitated it. This is sad, for all peoples. The culture is being erased before our eyes.

I think it’s ridiculous! Your so right Mike along with all the history of Columbus, Civil War, etc.. I grew up in Newtown and the high school was the Newtown Indians, now the Night Hawks! But that was also when the football field was called Bruce Jenner Stadium........

Native American culture is awesome. Yes, the past is bloody and horrific in many ways, but we dont erase a culture.

Redskins can change thier name it's a crappy slang and yeah pretty derogatory, but it should be to something that shows Native American culture in a great way. That image should be kept, the culture embraced, preserved, carried on and bolstered.

I loved native history as a kid and how it ties into the lands surrounding us. I did a sweat house once (amazing experience), searched for arrowheads as a kid, respected the tie the people had to land and animals, spirit lore, stories. The Tony Hillerman series of books with Joe Leaphorn is phenomonal... why are liberals hell bent on the erasure of this culture? It's the opposite of what they supposedly stand for...
