Had a day off this week. Finally got the boat back after storing it for two years. Changed out the steering cable, blasted off all the barnacles.
After cleaning out a birds nest from the main motor and a mouse nest from the kicker they both fired right up and idled.
Two year old full fuel tank with stabilizer still good!
We got to the launch around 5pm and headed to the race.
We where greeted with lots of birds with bluefish feeding.
5 drifts with some poppers and diamond jigs we had our 3 man limit of some large bluefish and headed back.
Boat ran perfect, washdown and livewell pumps working fine also, so I'm relieved.
Fillet, Skin, cutting out the dark meat, for some delicious smoked bluefish!

Big blues with the kids. What could be better than that.

If there are fish to catch. I'll be there to my end.

Question for you, sir.
How was the Sound/Race, etc regarding debris floating in from the CT River?
Where did you launch from?
I'm considering a trip out next week but am leery of all the flotsam coming down the CTR that has to leave the sound thru the race/gut.

Those are alligators!

Great trip!

Boat running well is big time important in the Race.

I've read the Bible...Jesus wins.

seen a little bit of wood around but nothing large. probably better since we launched out of New London this time.

But with all the construction around the launch I was not so sure about space to park. but week days should be ok.
