Fished the Yantic today...picked up 5 trout at the Barstow Rd area and 3 trout at the Stanton Rd bridge...Water was still high at ~1,000 cfs...fish were hard to reach even w/ several s/shot...

Trout were caught on #6 olive buggers, #2 Vibrax gold spinners, and #2 & #3 Mepps spinners in gold...Photos are "live" not Memorex (haha)...Trout in photo was snapped as the "WAVES" came in and out, so he/she was not laying on the stream gravel for long...

Nice fish Don! You are like me now...having to explain the fish is wet and not harmed. But who cares as long as we have success.

Do French fish flee at the sight of lures?

thanks guys..

Henry - after I got over being mad at some of the negative comments from some members, I figured, maybe they're right, why not keep the fish in the water instead of dragging them on the river bank for a photo... they seem to flop around less by keeping them in the water although you have to throw your rod/reel in the water for perspective!!

Anyway, I always release trout, so if that gives them a little better chance, why not... It was tough today because there were waves to contend with from the high water....
