My six year old daughter is really getting into fishing. up until now its been a bobber and worm deal, however she's been looking at the pictures of some of the largemouth I've caught and wanted to catch one.
So we headed out at 4pm to the Branford Supply Pond with the lesson being 7" powerworms for twitchin off the bottom and rapala floaters twitchin on the top.
We fished for four hours and covered the entire pond. We failed to get a single bite all nite, I tried every lure I had in a desperate attempt to land one.
I still cant get over it Skunked!!!!! \:o

The worst part was when we were hiking back to the truck my daughter who was disappointed says to me "Daddy, maybe your not as good of a fisherman as you think". I wanted to crawl under a rock.
Next week we will take the boat out and get serious. screw this shore fishing stuff

I only get out of bed early to fish.

Ah kids. If I take my daughters to a place and we don't catch anything there they don't want to go back to there again. Don't worry she'll see the light at one point.
