Jon A and myself were there on Saturday, but the conditions were different. Cold front moved in overnight, postspawn transition, and boy, that called for some tough fishing, not to mention the 15-20 MPH NW winds, which changed direction late afternoon, and it was then when fish became active somewhat, but it was around 5:30 PM.
We managed one walleye, a trout, a largemouth and yellow perch. We were only targeting walleye afterall, and considering the tricky conditions, we did pretty well.
After Jon left, I stuck around the docks, where I dropped on nice walleye 10 feet away from it, at least I got to see what it was, and it really looked somewhere between 26-27 inches. One violent head shake and that was the end of it. She managed to spit the lure and took off. Oh well, no harm done. That's fishing, never know how things are going to be, besides, it's all for fun anyway..
Great job guys, keep it up!!
