Went to Candlewood this afternoon with the family. BRRRRR! It was cold and windy but at least it didn't rain. Stayed away from New Milford Bay because of the kayakers. Ooops - got caught in a tourney at the New Fairfield ramp. Anyway, those fishermen could have used what my son caught - this nice 4 pound largemouth. We came across a school of alewives in the Sherman arm and decided to flatline a Sutton spoon and a Yozuri. We didn't hook up at the school, but a little ways up the shoreline Lars picked up this nice bass.

We also picked up a few nice perch for dinner. Marked several large fish on the bottom at about 20-25 feet. We dropped alewives down but didn't get any takers.
All in all, a nice day on the lake. Most importantly, Mom didn't get skunked!
