Hehehe..... Way back in 1980 I was working the third shift at Hamilton Standard. I fished a lot!! My buddies used to marvel at my basement because I had sooo much tackle. You see, if I found something that worked I'd buy a $hitload of them and hang them up downstairs... hooks, weights, soft plastics, jigheads etc....

So finally a couple buddies at work started calling me Tackleman.......

When I found this site and saw all the funny screen names, the Tackleman moniker came back to me so I used it.

Who knew it would be shortened to T-Man by so many members here and ultimately lead to the name of my company, T-Man Custom Tackle, LLC!!

Life is funny....... \:\)

Good thread Zippy.... \:D

Had the nickname "Bear" for a long long long time. Think i first got it playing in the YMCA Flag football league. Was the biggest kid out there but was to young for Pop Warner. The coach called me The Bear and would tell the QB to "get the ball and run behind The Bear. The name transformed a little thru the years and now I answer to Bear,The Bear, Bobby the Bear, BobbyBear, and Hey A$$ho (wife and sister only :p ).

So when picking my screen name, I was starting up a freshwater bass guide service. ( which I later realized that between the 7 day 6-2:30 unflexable job that i had and my club and federation Tournys...It wasn't happening) I picked the name
Bob @ Bassin Bears Trip Service. Well that was good until I started getting involved with the posts and a couple of outings...It was just just too damn long. People started calling me Bob @ BBTS, Bob@ Blahblahblah and bassnbear. I figured that bassnbear seemed good cause it reflected my passion and my nickname. So I had Mitch change it and here I am.

Later,
BOB

I prefer fishing for salt water bottom feeders, so the it became a nick name at work...I think jimmya started it. I had to modify it to use it here. Thats all.

I've always looked at Bass fishing as hunting. You're always moving around looking for concentrations of fish and The elusive Lunker.
