When I'm old and gray I can tell my Grandchildren about "The Mountain Lion thread"....."WOW grandpa , was it really 997 pages long ?"

Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was coming to the mountains to trap and be a mountain man. Acted like they was gut-shot. Says, "son, make your life go here. Here's where the peoples is. Them mountains is for animals and savages." I said, "Mother Gue, the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world." And by God I was right.

Back in 1963 in Watertown In the area that is now Veterans Memorial Park off of Nova Scotia hill road My friend Butch and I saw what I still feel to this day were three Mountain Lions. We were on one of the farm roads and they were running along side the edge of the field towards us. I think they might have been chasing a deer. My first thought they were deer they were so big. I still remember the huge bounds they made while running. they Scared the living daylights out of both of us.

Have a safe time on the water and may that tight line be pulling back.
