I like icing....& 8 lb bass I was once told by a wise man you can not round up to an 8# either so I fall short with a 7# 13

Densik,
I'm shocked you never stuck or witnessed an 8+ from Patchaug with your knowledge and time on the water there.

Something happened to Beach over the years it isn't the same place anymore. Much better lakes out that Eastern way.

Ya tall, beach has gone down the toilet. I have caught very few over 5# there. I don't know why but I've been very happy with the 3# avg that I do get there.

Dsouth has caught em in CT I'm sure. I know he lost one at the boat that may have been a 10...

My best CT LM was 8lbs even and was caught slow rolling 1oz spinner bait fishing for Northern Pike on a Nov afternoon many years ago, best swim-bait CT LM was 7lbs13oz. My top 4 Ma LM are 9lbs2oz, 9lbs1oz, 8lbs14oz and 8lbs6oz. The 9.1 was in 2007 and the other 3 back in the 90s.
Any year with a few over 7lbs I consider a great year so Jims 8.5 is a very special LM. Congrats Again Jim. bow2

A few of my high school buddies were at Moodus today continuing their 20 plus year tradition of fishing for bass on the Friday before(the normal third Saturday) opening day. I had to work a 5 AM to 9 AM shift this morning. I tried to get my boat readied by 11 to join them and couldn't. So just to prove I have no life I read all 51 pages of this thread while they enjoyed their day on the water. The boats sitting in the driveway hooked to the truck and Im hoping it doesnt rain on Wednesday. All dressed up and no place to go.
