the number 1 trophy largemouth lake in ct is the upper compensating resivour in newhartford and grandby. Just dont get caught fishing there. I worked with a guy on second shift and he brought in a 11.75(weighed on very accurate scale) largemouth to work one day and guess where he caught it.

quassaupaug lake in middlebury. this lake has record size everything in it.i have been fishing this lake for years.i'v caught largemouth bass up to eleven pounds and fourteen ounces there before, and smallmouths up to six and ahalf pounds. the state record catfish and tiger trout were caught from this lake.eleven and twelve pound browns and rianbows are very common there to.
I know a few gentlemen who scuba dive next to my cottage on highland. these guys say they have seen schools of bass that go well over 12lbs. Problem with highland is all the boat pressure! Gotta get out early or late for the big boys
I agree with jighead,it could come from anywhere in the state, the problem is getting them to bite.10+lbLMB didnt get to be BIG by eating artificials. In eastern CT I'll give Amos lake and Beach pond the nod, lots of alewifes to grow fat on. Tight lines.
