Greg,
My apologies for questioning your motivation. I'm happy you recieved some good information in my response.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that!

Greg; Mike G is right I heard from one of my sons co-workers who fishes stillwater a lot and he has taken an 8lber there and has had the line snap on others that were bigger. I believe he uses 10" & 12" worms there. Just pick a spot and hammer it as often as you can!!!! Fish during the low light/ night conditions because these big gals are very shy. We also have a Full Moon comming soon too. (hint) BigBill

I would think something like 11 plus bass should come out of lakes that require a permit to fish them and are mostly fished from shore, like saltonstall or chamberlain. These are big lakes which barely get fished. the chances of bass surviving for a longer time are far better in lakes like these than any of the lakes that get serious fishing pressure. DEP itself says that saltonstall may hold the state record.Having said that, a fish like this can come out of anywhere.

KEEP UM FLOPPIN'!!

Plainville, Connecticut will produce the biggest bass this year. There are 3 main lakes that I am targeting Paderewski, Hamlins, and a secret lake that's behind my house. I have been seeing the bass get bigger and bigger in these lakes and one of these days I am going to hook up with them.

I beleive that the record will come out of candlewood. if you think the 9lber I cought was the biggest fish in the lake, your nuts. I beleive the pressure on the fish there has alot to do with it. I'm going to target Big fish this year. going to try the big trout plugs, and larger baits in general. even though I caught that 9, on a 1/8 ounce hair jig. a very small lure.
