I have been watching 9-11 specials for the last two weeks. I am primed for today. Said a prayer this morning...

As a career firefighter the loss of 343 FDNY firefighters was a huge impact to the fire service as a whole. My thoughts are with families of all those who lost there lives on that tragic morning.
There is a quote in one of the fire houses in Brooklyn Squad 252 at there memorial for the members they lost.
"From this day to the ending of the world
But we in it shall be rememberèd,
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers".

My prayers are with everyone that lost there lives, including a close family friend and one of my friends father.

I happened to be at the Science Musuem in N.J. across from the towers at an Audi event. It was chilling! We got there when the 1st tower was already burning and the Audi Instructor came down to meet us and said he just saw the 2nd plane hit. We sat on the shore and could actually hear the buildings burning and watched them fall. I was stunned! All the workers at the museum and the group of us, around 20, really couldn't believe what we were seeing. I would say we were around 5 miles away so we were pretty close.

Today really brought out some hidden emotions and probably always will! I really pray that something like this won't happen again but I truely think we aren't safe enough to prevent it from happening.

CHANGE IS SCARY BUT IT IS REWARDING ON THE OTHER SIDE!

SURELY MISS MY CTF FRIENDS BUT ALWAYS WILL BE HERE TO GIVE ALL A HARD TIME!

"How about a Fresca?!"

Don't call me on a Tuesday, I'm on the water!

What scares me is that there are still many that wish to do the same like 9/11. The terrorists are sitting back, trying to find ways to hurt us.

However, what is more dangerous than terrorism is complacency and the unwillingness to allow our government the ability to find and root out the terrorist both here and abroad.

Alot of well spoken thoughts and words guys. I remember that day and what I was doing.

I was with a bunch of fellow police officer's firing at the range. When one came running from his vehicle yelling that the First Tower had been hit. We were released when the second tower was hit only to return to my house to watch hopelessly as fellow Firefighters, Police Officer's, and people try to help those who were trapped injured ect.

That event was one of the scariest things personally I've been thru in my life. Because we didn't know what was going to happen next, and with all the rumors the news reporters were spreading. Finally I wish I could have done something to stop them terroist. God Bless this Great Country and all the people who believe in Freedom.

If you'd like to fish, just ask.
