I have found 2 tree stands on private land that the owner says shound not be there (I and her brother are the only people with permission to hunt there - the stands are not his). The tacked trail leads to the abutting house/property. Is this something that DEP would get involved in ? Also any ideas what to do ? I want to remove the stands with the minimum of conflict.

Best thing to do is call the dispatch center at 860-424-3333 and ask to speak to the officer that covers that town. The officer can then decide how to handle it.
