First Day of Summer Smallmouth

First Day of Summer Smallmouth - 06/20/20 12:25 PM

I took my first wet wading trip of the summer this morning in the CT River. Fished under bright sun from 7-10 am and went 9 for 15 so it was a fun morning. No bigs but great strikes and fun fights on the light gear in the current. All I threw was a loon colored whopper plopper 90.

You do great work! Beautiful smallies and it must have been fantastic taking them on top water.

That whopper plopper seems to be a productive lure.

Damn Jon
I fish that stretch too and although I catch some, I never ever see bass like those-
WAY TO GO.

I miss Roz too- she usually lets me know when the rover bite has started. Thanks for the post/
I will see you on the river one of these days.
