Staying logged in

I'm hearing more from people about difficulty staying logged in.

Chances are you recently upgraded Internet Explorer and that is causing the problem.

Try this ...

In IE, go to:

Tools / Internet Options / Security / Trusted sites / Sites

Deselect the "Require server verification" check box

Add this website to the zone:

I have a problem logging in each visit. I click on the log-in icon, enter my info and it comes back incorrect. Then I have to click on a topic then wait for the log-in screen to pop up. Only way I can get in

I just did the instructions above as well and no difference

tav, I'm not sure what you're describing as far as the "eye". Send me a PM with more and I can try to help.

ChunkDunker, it sounds like an incorrectly typed log-in or password is saved in your auto-complete and you're encountering that on the first attempt.

Here's how you can clear that if you want:

If you guys are open to it, try Firefox or Chrome. You will probably have a better viewing experience.

I think the last IE update was #10 ?
In that version there is an "eye" shaped symbol in the place where you enter your password .
Not sure what it means but it comes up on any website that asks for a password .

I have the same problem. I've periodically had trouble staying logged in but your solutions always solved the problem. This time what you've suggested above does not work nor does clearing cookies , etc.. Its quite annoying.

Try clicking the "Expire Cookies" button at the bottom of this page and logging in again:

What browser are you on? Firefox, Chrome, Explorer?

I'm using IE but will switch to Firefox. Your tip to "expire cookies " seems to have worked. Thanks.

Cool. Hopefully that works and you can just stick with IE if you like it.
