Heard a rumor fish was not caught in ct waters

Re: Potential New State Record Fluke Caught - 06/15/23 03:09 PM

Is he applying for fluke offshore record (returned to a CT port)

Or CT waters fluke state record?

Saltwater has that strange category.

On the application he will have to disclose the general area

Likely it's the fact that his son was fishing Nantucket Shoals that day and the fish weighed in the next . These days everyone wants to piss in everyone else's Wheaties . Social media is the devil .

I would definitely wait for details

It’s a fantastic fish

I'm not making any accusations or assumptions either . There's been more than one giant fluke taken in that area . It's nothing new for a dragger to pick up state record size fish there .

So I know this guy well. We have fished and dove together for about 10 years. He knows more about fishing then this whole forum and spends more time fishing in one season then most people do in a lifetime. He’s a hell of a man and spent a career protecting the public. It really piss me off that someone would bad mouth a man without even knowing the facts!

I real,y can’t stand pissing on peoples parades. I was a member at Mago for a long time and I heard about this guy. What a fish congrats! Remember Pistol on the site? Caught a huge one I think over 12 off the same area. They are there but not as good as the past.
50 pound fluoro, wow! Makes me wonder what I am doing using 20 but the lighter line caught more for me anyway.
