Quick DEP question - trees

If I find a downed tree on state land (blown over, uprooted, whatever), can I take it (cut it up and haul away)? What's the rule on this?

No, if it's DEP property you need to get a firewood permit. You get them through our Forestry Division. If it's on other state land (DOT, DOC, etc.) you need to contact the agency responsible for the land involved.
