Conduct in CT DEP and Law Enforcement Forums
We have a unique opportunity to interact directly with members of the CT DEP and CT Law Enforcement divisions. When posting in these forums, please be clear and respectful. Rude and argumentative posts will not be tolerated. Remember that even though a person may work for the state, they don't make the laws. If you don't like a law or regulation, contact your State Representative or State Senator and let them know how and why you would like a law or regulation changed. If you have an issue with DEP, do not take it out on the volunteers here on ctfisherman.com. Contact the DEP directly. Finally, please be patient when waiting for answers to your questions and know that not every question may get an answer.

just a question concerning childrens fishing pond at stanley quarter park in New Britain. The city is advertising a fishing derby on April 14th and asking adults to pay 8 to 10 dollars to fish. Question is can they do this ?? seeing fishing season does not open until the 21st and the childrens pond is only for persons fifteen years of age and under. Thanks for the reply in advance.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked in to it, they are actually holding it at Hart Park not Stanley Quarter. I spoke with the director of New Britain's Park & Rec Dept this morning and they were unaware that they needed a tournament permit. They are expediting the application this morning.
