pheasant stocking for week of 11/14

guys - help me out - the state says that they will not be stocking state owned pheasant areas this week because of gun season Wednesday - they have been doing this now for a while -

are they still stocking non-owned lands then ?
ie: permit required areas, mdc land ????

I spoke to a state stocker the other day. He said they are not stocking at all this week. The land I was at is a WMA and doesn't allow shotgun deer hunting so I'm assuming that means they aren't stocking anywhere.

Thanks Dave - that is kind of ridiculous it seems. If there is no deer hunting allowed there and the book says state - owned lands only - not rod an gun club or mdc lands - then you would think they should still be stocking

No, the birds are scheduled to be stocked through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The non-stocking week was in the original schedule.
