Parking at Sunnyside School Boat Launch - 03/07/17 02:26 PM

Hey, is there a certain time period during the year that you need to have a permit to park at the launch? If so when is that? I remember last year hearing you had a fee but I didn't believe that fee was for this time of year. Any updates would be appreciated as I am planning on heading down there tomorrow am. I contacted the park and rec and town hall office clerk but have gotten no response.

Unless your a resident with the permit I think your a great canidate for a ticket. There is sinage there. You would be better off launching under rt 8 upstream.

They only check the trailers, not the cars.

Found this from the Shelton Herald;

Permits to use the city of Shelton’s Sunnyside boat ramp are available for purchase and are valid for the calendar year (Jan. 1–Dec. 31). The launch is off Route 110 and provides access to the Housatonic River for boaters.
The permits can be bought in the town clerk’s office at Shelton City Hall.
Also, state-issued marine sportsman licenses are available for purchase in the town clerk’s office.

You do not need a marine Lic.to fish there. It is above Merrit bridge which is the line.
